Being a Better Recruiter Requires Action
As 2021 concludes, I find myself concentrating on Marcus Aurelius and his quote “Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.”
I often reflect on this in the context of my professional life — especially here on LinkedIn. I often think of this by way of replacing one word. I substitute “man” for “recruiter”. Waste no more time arguing what a good recruiter should be. Be one.
I also reflect on inaction vs. action.
These words cut to the core of what it means to live a good life — it isn’t what we say that defines our character, it’s what we do.
If you want to try to make the world a slightly better place, there’s a lot you do.
Only one guarantees an impact.
We could all use more ways to remind ourselves of this universal truth.
What’s yours?
