Thank you, 2021!
As the year starts to wind down, I want to give a few shoutouts to people who’ve supported me this year. In no particular order:
Ally Fink — you are the rock that keeps me grounded while propelling me to reach for the stars.
Steve Rath — every conversation we have is a learning experiment where we can bounce the best ideas off of each other.
Barbara Marks — you challenge me to be a mentor to others and maintain the decorum of humility.
Mike “Batman” Cohen — “my brother from another mother” is a gross understatement of what you mean to me and how you support my career and personal ambitions.
Marshall Rathmell, CPA, PFS, CFP® — grateful that you push me to take on challenges that scare me and keep me accountable.
Steve Levy — you are a builder of communities and people, and I only hope that I can return the favor sometime in the future.
Jason Mulford — your drive and laughter are as infectious as the support and steadfastness you shower upon other people.
Jason Singer — you have taught me how to mentor other people and it would be impossible to count all the ways that you’ve helped me in my career and personal life.
Ryan Leary — thanks for opening my eyes to new stages of opportunity and strength.
Alan Henshaw — thank you so much for your guidance, useful advice, and empowerment. Go Steelers!
Margot Shumway (She/Her) — I am so grateful that you took me under your wing when I first started at AWS. Your leadership and example have helped me grow into my potential.
Robert McFalls, M.A., CDR 🦄 🏹 — not only are you fantastic at your job, but you have also proven yourself to be a loving and caring person, both in the office and out in the world.
Mike Wolford — you have been a visionary mentor, a leader who has dedicated his life to the service of others in our community. I appreciate and treasure everything you have taught me thus far — and I am ready for more!
Ryan Holiday — there is no author who has inspired me to take epic chances like the literary wisdom you create and share.
Ronnie Bratcher — I would not be where I am today if it were not for your encouragement and insightfulness.
Erin Mathew — You keep me on my toes and never let me become complacent. I love your grit and tenacity.
Geri Kidd — thanks for guiding me towards the right path. You are a fantastic mentor that is worthy of emulation. You deserve a big thank you from me.
Jenn Laub (she/her/ella) — my work-wife eternal who gives me clarity and pause when I am overwhelmed and helps me get back up when I fall down.
Vanessa Raath 🌍👩🏼🏫 — whenever we connect, I always learn something from you. May we actually see each other in 2022!
Tangie Pettis (she/her) — your perseverance, integrity, and people-loving nature are just a few of your qualities that continue to inspire me. Thanks for having me at SoureCon and upholding the community.
Michael Goldberg — A damn good dawg and a source of creativity and encouragement in what’s been an up and down kind of year.
