In the battle for influence, we’re talking two titans: transactional vs. transformational. Wanna be a boss? Better grasp these concepts.

Transactional influence is all about the “what’s in it for me” game, thriving in those traditional, pyramid-scheme-style organizations. These leaders? No BS, straight-shooters, all about the grind.

Enter the underdog, transformational influence. It’s about feeling those warm and fuzzy vibes, connecting on a human level, and giving everyone a voice in the flat, horizontal power party. Leaders here are the cheerleaders, giving pats on the back and making everyone believe they can conquer the world.

The times, they are a-changin’, and with org charts losing weight, the transformational game is the new orange.

So, you wanna master the Jedi tricks of influence? Here’s the playbook: 1) be tight with your crew, trust is the currency; 2) lend your ears, listen like your life depends on it; 3) be ride or die for your team; and 4) walk the talk, be the role model that rocks.
